Allowed Construction Times:

Major Exterior/Interior Contractor Construction – applies to all new construction, including renovations of and additions to existing homes; including exterior construction, remodeling, and renovation work of any kind, and all interior work that requires a City of Houston building permit.

• Monday – Friday: 7:30am - 6:00pm 
• Saturday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
• Sundays and Holidays:  None

Minor Interior Contractor Construction Times – applies only to work performed exclusively inside the interior of existing homes that does not require a City of Houston building permit.

• Monday – Friday: 7:30am – 7:30pm 
• Saturday: 8:00am - 5:00pm 
• Sundays and Holidays: None

“Holidays” are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas. For purposes of this definition, any Holiday will be deemed the day that Holiday is observed by the United States Post Office.
